Description:
•As the overlay portfolio manager you will oversee the modelling and trading on all accounts within the UMA offering.
•Work directly with sub-advisors in maintaining investment models used in the implementation of investment strategies.
•Manage and maintain a number of government bond ladders used in client portfolios.
•Provide Investment Counsellors and Portfolio Managers with advice and support with respect to all aspects of discretionary portfolio management, portfolio construction and IPS development.
•Centre of expertise on various investment processes including ROR, security classification and corporate actions.
•Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices with regard to portfolio constructions and product development in the high and ultra high net worth market.
Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
The individual in this position should have the following knowledge/experience:
•At least 10 years of investment experience with a minimum of 5 directly involved in portfolio management of private client assets.
•A CFA Charterholder.
•Strong client focus, direct client service experience in a discretionary investment role an asset.
•Solid understanding of equity and fixed income markets.
•Experience in working with sub-advisors within a multi-manager offering
•Highly detail oriented.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated presentation skills.
•Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
