People are hard-working and driven. While some places go with the motto, "Work hard, play hard", at Apple people just work hard. In general, there isn't a lot of communication between teams, as things are very secretive. You are expected to do your job and not ask too many questions.

It's a good company to work for, secrecy is huge and it will limit your ability to learn if you stay only within your team, you need to build a bigger network and start to to learn each department or entity in's and outs, by doing so, you will be able to have the best of both; working on a top tier very creative company, and the ability to learn and grow.
