Employee - Director
Expect to work an excessive amount of hours, no excuses. It's all about the bottom line.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Poor management. Making promises to customers they could not keep. Would not listen to lower management or employees.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Very clickish. Not marketing focused. Its an operational company. Undervalue opinion and pay for weekend work.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Company is unorganized and unsupportive of employees. Cutting costs by removing middle management and executive teams by constantly restructuring is leading to very low morale.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
An environment exists where the executives leading from the center seem out of touch and unaware of the needs of the field. The streamlining of the business practices and products is often in conflict with the nature of the service industry.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Being a self-starter enhanced my experience working at Aramark. I found a way to manage, mentor and create within the hostile work environment; constantly waiting for the next restructuring and round of cuts is not pleasant. Nor can it build a healthy and dedicated workforce. The best and the brightest always move away from this company.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
During my time there, I saw blatant disregard towards the business conduct policy. I witnessed bullying behavior by managers, I personally lost my position due to my reporting of several members of the management team drinking while performing duties - This drinking issue was at an event that put the client, hourly associates, and client personnel at risk due to the use of vehicles and heavy equipment/machinery while in an inebriated state,

It is best to be aware that communication is lacking. Things change quickly and there is no training support when things do change. You are considered an expert while you don't have the knowledge.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Although during almost 3 years I took all the opportunities to grow and develop in my role; after a new GM joined Aramark, the company faced a phase of organizational regression with structural changes that affected the organizational health, teams´motivation and increased staff turnover. I´m currently in contact with former and current employees of the company and the lack of motivation still remains.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Culture is defined by decisions taken more on personal affinity than capabilities.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Although the working environment was too complex, I looked for constant opportunities to grow and develop. From USA there were a lot of HR initiatives that were interesting to implement, but I also could develop my own plans and programs to leverage talent within the organization.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Poor culture with backstabbing politics.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Very political organization. Some divisions better than others. Tough to develop a career.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The company is headed in the right direction under Eric Foss's direction but, the company leadership is caustic. They are in the business of hospitality but, not in the hospitality business. It is a company that does not balance people, product and profit. They focus on profit without regard for customer service. The leadership is not sales focused and does not value the teams on the property level. Finance calls are ridiculously embarrassing for the operators and it is common for senior leasdership to embarrass leaders in front of their peers.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The culture was punitive and unprofessional.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
You have some leaders in the company that are liabilities that need to be addressed. To be the provider of choice to our clients and an employer of choice for employees, integrity and respect need to be at the center of the culture and unfortunately respect is lacking.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Not customer friendly. Upper management does not know what they are doing and not willing to accept suggestions on different ways of doing things.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Culture was Top driven. If you were a VP you were in.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
There are a lot of issues with senior management playing favorites with employees and taking employees word for things even when everybody else says something was different than they reported.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The culture in our area and from what I was told by home office people is based on favoritism and brown nosing. If you didn't do either you lost your job. I called out a favorite employee who worked for me. She claimed harassment, every other employee said it was bs, the regional vp hired this person and sided with her and termed me for no valid reason.
