Most Helpful Positive Review

Current employee - Manager / Senior Manager

There is a variety of telecommuting options, brilliant engineers, and a mature workforce.

Most Helpful Critical Review

Current employee - Assistant / Coordinator

Cisco offers a variety of certifications and what they don't offer they will pay for. Being employed at Cisco comes with some uncertainty and risks for layoffs, but the opportunity to gain highly useful certifications is a huge plus.

Current employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Remove the culture of long time contractors.

Current employee - Analyst / Associate

Work life balance. You don't have to clock in. You can work from home or anywhere in the country. Collaboration tools allow you to join meeting from a cellphone or tablet. People are knowledgable. The company wants to change the world and that aligns with what I want to do too.

Current employee - Analyst / Associate

If you build connections in the beginning of your career and make relationship with cross functional roles, you can have multiple careers all within the same company.

Current employee - Analyst / Associate

I wish that we had a better control system to narrow down the amount of existing social media accounts in our company's name. There must be over 200 Twitter and IG accounts, globally. I don't mind a few, but we should crack down on random employees making Cisco-involved handles.

Current employee - Analyst / Associate

Most of the leaders lead by example and care about their people and the success of the company. I love the access I have, as an early-in-career employee, to a wide variety of mentors throughout the globe and across all functions. People are so helpful and willing to mentor the younger generation. I also love how great our social media brand has become over the past two years. :)

Current employee - Analyst / Associate

Many of us say: "One company, many careers." There are so many different functions and roles at this company, the opportunity to gain experience is endless.

Current employee - Analyst / Associate

Flexible in all ways, not just in working anywhere you want, but giving you a choice for what you'd like to do.

Current employee - Analyst / Associate

You'll have the chance to work with multiple cultures and have the ability to spearhead in technology.

Current employee - Entry / Intern

The only thing I would change is to have more frequent in person team gatherings. But then again, many people love the flexibility of Cisco so just a personal preference.

Current employee - Entry / Intern

Extremely flexible and you can make the most out of family & work life. Global company is exciting because work with people from all over the globe. Seems that there is always a push to keep the employees as happy as possible. We also are very passionate about giving back to the community. Having 40 hours each year to volunteer is a unique benefit to have and it not only positively impacts the employee, but also the community.

Current employee - Entry / Intern

The benefits are hard to match at any other company. The ability to work from anywhere in the world and also the ability to use work hours to give back is absolutely incredible to me. I am proud to say I work at Cisco.

Former employee - Analyst / Associate

Culture is like none other.

Current employee - Assistant / Coordinator

The value placed on employee retention is not as high as I believe that it should be. At any given time, regardless to high work performance and outstanding work reviews, employees can be displaced under the notion "restructuring for business needs". The problem is that the employees that are displaced create a productivity gap and it burdens those that are lucky to remain employed. The reality that at any given time senior leadership can decide to "restructure" the organization dampens employee morale. Employees are made to feel less valued and uncertain about job stability.

Current employee - Assistant / Coordinator

Cisco offers a variety of certifications and what they don't offer they will pay for. Being employed at Cisco comes with some uncertainty and risks for layoffs, but the opportunity to gain highly useful certifications is a huge plus.

Current employee - Assistant / Coordinator

Has relaxed, easy going, flexible work schedules. Work culture is really well because the employees make it enjoyable in spite of the turmoil created with layoffs.

Current employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Hiring/layoff cycles needs improvement - figure out a way to keep more employees, rather than constantly introducing uncertainty/fear each year.

Current employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Very sales-oriented, but very good team spirit.

Current employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Better collaboration between organizations to prioritize in the same way and work towards the greater good for the company

Current employee - Manager / Senior Manager

One either really likes working for Cisco or hates it.

Current employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Focused on customers, innovation, and ethics.
