Employee - Principal

I started at DRG Consulting fresh out of grad school with a PhD, and immediately felt like I had a lot of opportunity to grow and take responsibility. The working environment and relationships have been wonderful, and I love the collegial nature of the group. The work is interesting, the ability to tap into the expertise of the our syndicated market research business is invaluable, and we've established great working relationships with our clients who regularly come back to us for more work.

The senior leadership team at DRG Consulting has been "learning on the job", as they say - we recently went through an integration of several legacy businesses into one unified consulting group, and there have definitely been some growing pains along the way. Mistakes have been made, but people have owned them, and there's been some significant steps taken to improve things. I personally have been a bit insulated from the growing pains because of the local office leadership, but I do see that everybody is earnest and once to make DRG Consulting the best place to work!

Each position has salary "bands" which are used to benchmark against industry. There hasn't been that much transparency about how we match up to the industry benchmark from senior leadership, but it's clear that we are below that industry average. Bonuses are paid around March, and are based on personal performance, team performance, and company performance. There's a very clear formula that's used to calculate bonus, but of course there will be some subjective elements due to the personal performance component.

Employee - Principal

There's a tuition reimbursement program where DRG Consulting will pay for 90% of your tuition costs if you get an A on the course. We also have 401K (up to 4% matching, which I don't know how it compares to industry), and generous vacation policy.

Employee - Principal

The culture depends on the office location - at my office, I'd say our culture is great, and we have a lot of good energy (especially with the cohort of new hires who recently started). I enjoy hanging out with my coworkers, and we celebrate people's birthdays with little gathering. We have a strong emphasis on professional development and training - we have regular training requirements, and you're matched up with a mentor who periodically checks up on you to see how you are doing, and how we are meeting your career goals.

Employee - Principal

I'd say that it's a Tier 2-3 consulting company that is probably known more for it's syndicated market research side of things than consulting. However, with that said, we are going through some very exciting transitions/acquisitions that once integrated, will truly be able to offer our clients unparalleled coverage across the drug-development spectrum.

Employee - Senior Consultant

Collaborative work environment.
