Employee - Associate Consultant

While the consulting lifestyle isn't something I would recommend to others, if they were interested in consulting I would say DRG is a good place. It has a good team environment for consulting.

Employee - Associate Consultant

Young and growing. They are a great group to work for and are very smart, but given they are young they still have some growing as managers to do.

Employee - Associate Consultant

They say there are pay bands for each level of the organization (the more you move up in that level the more you get paid) but I have yet to see that.

Employee - Associate Consultant

We have a very good vacation policy and the team is great in being flexible with hours. Overall, there aren't too many perks. Or if there are, they don't make them to be very clear.

Employee - Associate Consultant

The culture has been improving at DRG. It is a young office and the coworkers make a great team environment (all willing to help out). However, being young is also true for management which can create a few challenges. The leaders are still learning how to be flexible, adapt to new methods, and make the environment better.

Employee - Associate Consultant

We have a great and growing reputation with our clients. All of our business is from referrals and repeat business. Our clients really enjoy working with us.

Employee - Associate Consultant

Fragmented leadership team, frequently does not deliver on promises made to employees.

Employee - Associate Consultant

Compensation is roughly 20-30% below industry standard. This is in part because salary structure for consulting practice is tied to salary structure of syndicated reports practice.

Employee - Associate Consultant

Decision Resources is very open-minded in terms of their work-from-home policy, particularly on days where no meetings are scheduled. That helps to offset commute, which is significant because multiple DR offices are located in distant suburban locations.

Employee - Associate Consultant

The culture is young and friendly. The firm feel is informal, although that tends to vary a bit among the different offices. The firm experiences very high turnover in recent years, with 70% of colleagues turning over within the span of the year, every year. That somewhat tarnishes an otherwise good office culture. By the time you get used to people, they are often gone.

Employee - Associate Consultant

The firm is very reputable within the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industries, but mainly because of the syndicated reports the company publishes. The brand is recognizable, but the firm's reputation does not originate from the consulting practice.

Employee - Associate Consultant

Great culture, good people, relatively interesting work. Office location is not ideal.

Employee - Associate Consultant

Very oriented to employee growth. Senior management really cares about the employees.

Employee - Associate Consultant

Not a huge name in consulting, but generally well respected by those who have heard of it.

Employee - Associate Consultant

DRGC is focused on an evolving landscape (pharmaceutical market access/healthcare policy) and therefore offers many opportunities to get involved in interesting/cutting edge projects. Consultants from DRGC have access to a wide range of market intelligence (both reports and analytics) from the wider company (Decision Resources Group) to support projects. Additionally DRGC offers a structured training programme and a supportive atmosphere for professional development.

This company has a phenomenal culture. The team is small which allows new comers to learn immensely and take on as much as they'd like. However, the biggest disadvantage of working here is the low compensation (much lower than industry standard), lower name recognition, and outside of Boston office location.
