Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

Disney is a magical place with amazing brand equity from a Marketer's perspective. It is also an astute business and I leveraged my experience as an intern when I was in business school to make a career transition from finance to marketing.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

As an entertainment company, it is the best!

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

Work hard, play hard.

Employee - Entry / Intern

Great experience and learning the business practices of Disney.

Employee - Director

It's good because the recognizable company experience looks good on a resume. Each dept/division has its own pluses and minuses, so the actual experience will vary. It's a highly political environment and HR supports mgmnt, not the employee. It is bottom-lined oriented to a fault and to the detriment of the employee culture and brand.

Employee - Director

The culture is connected to the division i.e. Parks, Studio, ABC/ESPN etc. each inherently different. Most people fear for their jobs, the next round of downsizing and revolving door of executives. That said, most will say they are proud of the work.

Employee - Director

It's a respected brand to the outside world.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Generally, very people centric with good benefits and work environment. Extremely large range of roles and internal movment encouraged. Many health and welfare schemes. Some areas have weak management and lack of direction, and remains un-addressed over a long period.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Many, varied activities. Mainly caring people, good to work with. Company is trying to initiate various programs to increase cross organisational participation. Big difference between U.S. and U.K offices

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

It's Walt Disney! It is innovative at the front end where consumers see amazing products being reularly delivered, however the situation in the back office varies greatly from depertment to department

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Disney is the best company to start your career. It's training is world famous and as a young person, you are given many opportunities for growth. If it were a seasoned professional, I would not recommend it as the pay does not grow with your expertise level.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Get the training, experience and culture and MOVE ON! Your Disney experience makes you a wonderful candidate for many different career paths.

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

I would recommend Disney as a place to work to a friend because there are some great things about Disney, especially for those in their early career years. However - get out when you get to the higher ranks! Their culture fosters some truly bad behaviors (arrogance, managing thru fear based tactics, competitiveness that breeds a high level of bureaucracy and politics, etc).

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

Very political, too much water cooler talk and gossiping at the highest levels, bullying tolerated (even from board members), a lack of transparency. This really is at the top of the company and divisions. It makes it very difficult to have a different opinion or viewpoint.

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

Be prepared for high standards and expectations (a good thing), favoritism (you must fit within a certain profile and personality to succeed), and lot's of opportunities to learn (another good thing). Don't sell your soul to fit in - keep true to your own values and you'll be fine.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

I had a fantastic experience at Disney. As an animator and creative, I felt very valued by the organization.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Very creative, great people, collaborative.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

They really value artists and creatives. The culture supports learning and growth and experimentation perhaps more than any other large company I have worked for.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

It has a welcoming culture, it is a diversified place to work.
