Employee - Vice President

Filled with smart people. Meritocracy culture.

Employee - Analyst

Would suggest more work life balance

Employee - Analyst

Will require a lot of learning in the initial period

Employee - Associate

Changes need in HR to be able to place you in a position relevant experience!

Employee - Associate

Corporate culture.

Employee - Vice President

Would suggest changing leadership

Employee - Vice President

Would change Management. Detailed insight into compensation. Better balance of compensation between "revenue" divisions and the "back-office" divisions. Realistic expectations around what can/cannot be achieved. Better insight into proposed or potential projects for the upcoming year.

Employee - Vice President

You will be worked hard and hardly compensated for the effort.

Employee - Vice President

Hard to tell these days. Whatever it is, it does not feel like it aligns to the firm's business principles.

Employee - Vice President

Very frequent changes in the leadership and their strategies. Value of an employee has gone down a lot over the years. Too difficult to Seattle down for people from outside. Tech is not that cutting edge too.

Employee - Analyst

Would change the toxic culture in the Federation divisions; so much red tape and politics

Employee - Managing Director

They treated us like slaves.

Employee - Managing Director

Completely top down beginning with the CEO.

Employee - Managing Director

Survival of the fit-est with a giganticenormous POLITI CAL component.

Employee - Associate

If you don't work in NY you have a limited future. Stockbrokers are the exception.

Employee - Associate

Culture is dog eat dog. A fight for the last dollar.

Employee - Senior Vice President

The organization claims to be flat, but it is in fact extremely hierarchical. Endless closed door meetings and it's made very clear who are the haves vs have nots.

Employee - Senior Vice President

They still think they are the Goldman Sachs of yesteryear. Management doesn't realize times have changed and most employees would rather work at Blackstone or Blackrock. They need to lighten up, look around, and attempt to make the work environment more enjoyable now that they can't pay what they used to. Rather than right-size FICC, management has stuck with a business model that is not generating strong profits.

Employee - Senior Vice President

Very atypical. Lots of "posting" people, which is really just covering your you know what. Lots of wasting time on management and business decisions, rather than just doing the work and focus on the business. Instead of making good business decisions, many times, decisions are made in fear of specific members of management who might cause problems. Everything is committee-based with groupthink.

Employee - Vice President

Join a Victoria workhouse. Hours would be better. Takes smart people and breaks them by overloading with grunt work.
