Pay sucks, work was not interesting, employer was demanding

2019-02-08

Former Employee - Manager

My organization was very siloed. My organization had a small number of large projects, whose employees could not be interchanged.

Former Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

No work ethics, No growth

Former Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Lousy place to work; worst Managers and terrible work culture; no work ethics. Even a Mom & Pop Company could be better than this Company

IBM has a good International Name due to however in India it Sucks

2019-01-08

Former Employee - Manager

The highly matrixed organization makes it tough to understand who does what and who reports to who. The performance management and promotion process is so clunky it's easier to jump to another firm for a higher level role than to wait in line for a promotion opportunity.

Former Employee - Manager

There was no sense of community on the projects. This is a shame since it made being on the road miserable.

Now that I am on the client side, I've heard from many peers that IBM seems to send their B team to projects...until the clients complain. It's only then that you get decent consultants.

Current Employee - Manager

IBM is in a bad place right now, moral is at an all time low, Compensation plans are highly managed , if you are over 40yrs old, there is a good chance you are on the radar to be pushed out the door with a "get out your old " early retirement buy-out package. IBM use to be a great company, today it's no better than working at a Walmart

2019-01-22

Current Employee - Manager

How bad peoples attitudes are , everyone is on the defensive and quickly points fingers at other staff . Nobody takes ownership of problems, and client issues and escalation problems are at a company record high

2019-01-22

Current Employee - Manager

IBMGBS is known to be over priced, over worked, overly complicated and post-sales support is horribly embarrassingly bad

2019-01-23

Former Employee - Manager

Too big and slow to react to market conditions. Treats employees like commodities and business unit is declining in their capabilities

2019-01-23

Former Employee - Manager

Business model is to rebadge employees from companies it signs outsourcing agreements with, have them train off shore recourses, and then separate from the US based resources. Poor moral conditions in that type of business model

2019-01-24

Former Employee - Manager

The scope of work and exposure limits the development of the individual. Lack of growth opportunities and innovation inhibits the pace of thinking.

2019-01-24

Former Employee - Manager

The culture of IBM is top heavy with leadership often assumes the ownership of the individuals in a power coercive manner. The word 'NO' is not appreciated by the leadership and often leads to discordant relationships. Individuals are often sidelined and exited for voicing their PoV .
