Most Helpful Positive Review

Current employee - Analyst

Very collaborative. Smaller deal teams allow for senior bankers to really mentor younger bankers and teach them.

Most Helpful Critical Review

Former employee - Vice President

You need to be extremely self-reliant above all else. If you're confident you can come in, plug your existing business/strategy into their platform and hit the ground running, there's a decent chance you'll be successful there. If you're looking for a place that has clearly defined methodology for its business practices and an overall environment of support, Jefferies is going to be a big disappointment. Remember, this was originally a boutique equities shop that was taken over and is still run by a junk bond trader. Be prepared to come in and carve out your own niche from Day 1.
