The Accounting Manager of Production and Commissions (PAC) will lead a dedicated team whose primary duties are to provide timely, accurate, and detailed loan origination data while collaborating with various departments, including Accounting, HR, Origination, IT, FP&A, and Internal Audit. While performing the required duties, the position will establish best practices and drive ongoing process refinement to improve the efficiency and accuracy of sales commissions methodology, calculations, and reporting. The team will consist of one dedicated Data Analyst and will report directly to the Group Controller. This position has the option to be remote.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Review monthly loan origination transactions to ensure accurate economics

  • Review monthly sales compensation calculations to ensure compliance with existing contract agreements and special incentive plans initiated by business leaders

  • Review and resolve exceptions and maintain data integrity across the Closer, Salesforce, Power BI, and Business Central source systems by working closely with relationship managers, underwriters, closers, IT personnel, and accountants

  • Oversee and administer Beqom, the automated compensation management system, to provide monthly compensation statements to all sales employees company-wide

  • Ensure commission payments are communicated to payroll timely and accurately and made in accordance with plan provisions

  • Serve as a point of contact for originators and team leaders to resolve any inquiries regarding compensation plans and provide detailed analyses to develop solutions

  • Prepare and calculate Senior Management and Executive personnel’s monthly/annual bonus amounts

  • Train and mentor the PAC team on a continuous basis regarding commission processes and policy changes

  • Support month-end closing process by generating production, discretionary, and senior commission accrual data for accounting, as well as commission and payroll reconciliation reports

  • Support management reporting process by generating monthly production reports, monthly salary and award pay variance analyses, and timely ad-hoc reports

  • Maintain and refine documentation of commission processes and related controls for the PAC Team for cross-training purposes

  • Assist external audit firm on commission-related matters for annual audits


Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:



  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar capacity. Public accounting experience is a plus

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Beqom administrator experience is a plus

  • Must have strong work ethics

  • Effectively manages multiple assignments

  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues

  • Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills

  • Must be highly self-motivated pursuing continuous improvement to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Must be effective communicator with all levels of employees, including senior management

  • Ability to work independently and within a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP

  • Business Central GL accounting system experience is a plus

  • Documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
