The Proofpoint Creative Services team is seeking a talented, innovative Sr. Graphic Designer/Art Director to join our growing design group. This Sr. Graphic Designer/Art Director position is a “does-it-all” role in our progressive, fast-paced in-house corporate marketing team and reports to the Creative Director. Collaboration is key, as this individual will work across several teams and for multiple internal clients. This position is a senior role and you will create strong brand touch-points, build and govern visual identity systems and deliver original creative work.
You must possess the ability to balance high-level, holistic reason with detail-oriented design. You must be a critical thinker with a good design sense, and a strong brand background.
Build and maintain the Proofpoint brand design system
Create world-class designs that support and reinforce the Proofpoint vision, brand, and business objectives across all touch-points (online and print)
Take an active role in brainstorming sessions and design reviews
Present design work to Marketing teams, and other customers for review and feedback
Collaborate with Creative Director to develop design strategy and plan for campaigns
Create site plan for graphics at large events and trade shows
Develop and execute production timelines for multiple projects
Coordinate activities with other designers, agencies, and graphics vendors
Stay on the cutting edge of what’s new in design, identifying opportunities to and experimenting with applying new methods and concepts to customer problems
Contribute to group’s best practices for design
What you bring to the team
5+ years of experience working as a sr. graphic designer or art director in an in-house corporate environment or design agency
Outstanding team player; excellent collaboration skills
A self-starter with strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Understand brand system and provide direction and feedback internally and to agencies to ensure consistency with design system and guidelines
A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong design skills and branding experience across multiple touch-points
Experience creating designs for a variety of mediums including: print, online, PowerPoint presentations and event graphics. Experience with video and motions graphics a plus
Solid understanding of online production as well as knowledge of printing process, materials and proofing methods
Strong understanding of the principles of design, typography, composition, photography and color for print.
Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Fluent in English with a proven track record of presenting to and influencing management
Exceptional attention to detail
Expert skill level with standard Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
Bachelor's degree in design or related field required
