We are seeking an Associate Director, Business Development for the Licensing department at Condé Nast.  The ideal candidate has an understanding of product and content licensing in an ever-changing digital world; is a highly-motivated, driven, enthusiastic, results-oriented professional and self-starter with experience in business development and demonstrated knowledge of licensing business models.Our iconic portfolio of brands creates innovative content across media platforms that push the boundaries of traditional storytelling.


Primary Responsibilities:


The Associate Director reports directly to the Executive Director.


Analyze industries and competitive landscapes to stay ahead of new industry trends

Identify, research and pitch licensing opportunities to help drive an active pipeline of new business prospects

Update and, where necessary, create sales materials and pitch decks

Negotiate contracts and amendments; work with Legal to move contracts to execution

Work with brands and internal sales teams to identify cross-selling opportunities

Collaborate with CN’s London office to explore brand extensions and licensing opportunities on a global scale

Establish and maintain industry relationships

Attend industry trade shows as needed to identify and meet new prospective partners

Set up partnerships for long-term success to achieve aggressive departmental growth plan and revenue targets


Requirements:


A minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, preferably in product and content licensing

Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Proven ability to establish and foster partnerships

Adaptable to evolving priorities

Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills

Driven, confident, pro-active, goal oriented, enthusiastic and motivated self-starter

Solid network of contacts within the licensing industry

Successful track record of building licensing programs

Demonstrated ability to work in an entrepreneurial team environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G-Suite and Keynote
