Job Description


Essential Functions


Reporting to the Director Marketing Liver Disease the Associate Director Marketing Liver Disease develops and implements marketing strategies for HCV and NASH. Strategically coordinates and implements marketing plans across functions liaising with medical, sales, market research, corporate communications and finance, to drive activities to achieve revenue and results objectives. Liaises with Sales Managers to ensure effective communication and implementation of our marketing strategy, -solicits and uses feedback to optimize marketing channels and communication messages. Forecasts revenue and expenses based on strategies and tactics defined in Business plans. Liaises with Medical group to ensure optimum dosing and use of published data to support product portfolio strategy. Responsible for oversight and strategic direction across a number of projects, including overall agency management. Ensures that all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.


Knowledge, Experience and Skills


Typically requires a BS or BA degree in marketing or related field and considerable relevant experience.

Extensive knowledge and advanced experience in pharmaceutical product life cycle management in a variety of therapeutic areas preferred. (Experience in Liver Diseases and/or Diabetes, “Multi Stakeholder Businesses” and “patient journey design” will be a key asset)

Must possess excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to formulate, develop and execute marketing strategies.

Excellent communication skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing are required.

Must possess a demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement multi-dimensional marketing and business plans.

Must have demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.

Must be able to successfully perform complex budget management with an understanding of revenue forecasting.

Experience in managing cross-functional teams or work groups is required

Must be able to successfully develop external relationships leading to brand advocacy.

Must be fluent in conversational and written English
