The Associate Director of Human Resources- Training and Development will work closely with the Director of Human Resourcesto assess, design, develop, deliver and evaluate training curricula and programs for Business Services staff.The Associate Director of Human Resources – Training and Development will also serve as an internal consultant to identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate intervention. This is a newly created role and an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced, creative and innovative. 


Responsibilities (including but not limited to):



  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources and managers within Business Services to identify and address training needs

  • Develop training curricula and/or recommend and utilize vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives

  • Liaise with internal presenters to design, prepare and deliver effective subject matter training 

  • Deliver group and individual instruction and training when appropriate 

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of technical and operational aspects of both online and in person training programs

  • Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs including LMS administration 

  • Evaluate effectiveness of training and development programs, utilizing relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods

  • Devise strategies to promote training programs, increase attendance, and maximize effectiveness

  • Stay informed of industry trends for training and developing Business Services professionals, including but not limited to those in the legal industry

  • Liaise with attorney Professional Development training leaders and staff within the Firm to identify synergies and streamline training, where appropriate 

  • Lead several projects pertaining to the evaluation and administration of the performance management process, staff evaluations, and employee onboarding

  • Serve as a positive role model to members of the HR team by providing development opportunities, and at the direction of the Director of HR, supervise and/or manage HR team members

  • Serve as an ambassador of the HR team with complimentary functions throughout the Firm

  • Other projects as needed


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Advanced degree and/or 8+ years of experience in instructional design or adult learning

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Familiarity with viDesktop, as well as LMS systems highly desirable

  • Strong sense of initiative to accomplish results

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and human management skills

  • Strong writing, presentation and analytical skills

  • Strong oral communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
