Preparing and delivering client presentations including pitch books and live deal materials, such as offering memorandums and prospectuses
Coordinating, developing, and maintaining forecast models and financial valuations (leveraged buyout, discounted cash flow, and multiples-based analyses)
Collecting and analyzing detailed corporate, financial, and operating information and data to perform company, industry, market, and competitor research and due diligence
Conducting industry and product research, including the monitoring of market trends and following industry developments impacting the automotive aftermarket sector
Conducting direct and active interaction with clients (CEOs, CFOs, etc.) - Associates are expected to attend and participate in client meetings and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships
Participating in the execution of financings, M&A, and public equity transactions
You will work on several projects simultaneously with teams of professionals, both within the group and across the firm, including Managing Directors, Vice Presidents and Analysts, collaborating to develop and execute solutions to meet client needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & BACKGROUND
We look for candidates who are eager to make an impact by doing real, hands-on work and participate on active deal teams. Successful Jefferies’ Associates will be able to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and client management skills together with strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
The work is fast paced, intense and intellectually stimulating.
The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable and work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits of a successful candidate.
You should have experience as an investment banking associate or senior analyst, or 3+ years of consulting, accounting or relevant technology industry experience (although a background in accounting or finance is helpful, we hire Associates who have studied a variety of disciplines).
