We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Medical Director (AMD) to join the Cell Therapy, Oncology and Infection Medical team in the UK affiliate in London. The AMD will report to the Medical Director for this disease area and will be primarily responsible for the tactical delivery and project management of the UK Oncology medical activities related to cell therapy.
Essential Duties and Key Job Functions:
Commissions or develops and manages delivery of high quality medical education related to the disease area
Manages and controls activities with external suppliers
Establishes working relationships with key opinion leaders, which can influence policy and protocol position.
Is a key company representative to groups of experts, medical professional groups, societies, regulatory groups and represents the company at international scientific meetings.
Analyzes complex trial data and provides interpretation to internal stakeholders both within and outside the medical department.
Provides medical input to reimbursement applications to NICE, SMC etc
Supports Investigator Sponsored Trials
Provides support for training of medical field teams.
Is responsible for maintaining medical documents and files.
Is responsible for reviewing materials and activities for compliance with ABPI Code and other laws and regulations
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Ideally should have a valid Medical Degree or be a registered pharmacist
Clinical experience and/or experience within a commercial pharmaceutical environment.
Clinical or pharmaceutical experience in Haematology or Oncology is desirable.
Ideally, experience as an ABPI Code of Practice Final Signatory
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal, relationship building, negotiation and communication skills are required.
Must be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and independence.
Must be able to work to sometimes stretching deadlines.
Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to identify and understand complex issues and problems, and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to senior management, marketing and sales.
Must be team oriented and able to work in several teams that may overlap such as global medical team, regional sales team, and national accounts.
A proven ability to utilize complex scientific resources for presentations in a variety of different settings is required.
Must be fully cognizant of all relevant complex scientific data and regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
Knowledge and experience in delivering high-level presentations to KOLs is required
