The AVP, Provider Experience is directly responsible for the enterprise-wide alignment, coordination, and collaboration of the provider experience across all teams that touch the provider in order to drive continual improvement in how providers experience Humana.
The AVP, Provider Experience will lead a cross-functional team with potential to also lead dedicated delivery and development teams. In this context, they will prioritize work to deliver the strategic vision and must be comfortable moving from experience design to operating.
They will primarily focus on the provider experience at three touch points: initiation of the contract relationship, development of the relationship and service of the relationship.
They will interact with and influence senior leaders in the organization and act as a provider advocate in aligning and coordinating Humana’s future interactions with providers.
Must set the overall provider experience vision that will inform the provider experience team’s work including clearly outlining the team's purpose and specific and measurable goals
Balance the provider experience team’s strategies and goals against those of the P&L leaders of the organization.
Function as the voice of the provider and be willing and able to create a healthy tension within the context of all operational and financial processes that impact the provider.
Must be able to drive alignment across the organization in support of the provider experience and help leaders throughout the organization better understand how all providers experience Humana.
Ensure that provider insights and an improved provider experience support Humana’s ability to create and drive better business outcomes.
Develop the appropriate processes and tools to clearly measure the provider experience.
Continuously manage individual development
Continue to model new, decisive ways of working, and alter or expand team composition as the need arises, or based on performance
Be an inspiring leader of people, spend 20%+ time on coaching and developing team
Responsible for sharing learnings across the enterprise to enable broader change
Developing & leading a team of "A players" versed in new Agile Ways of Working
Must successfully navigate / influence multiple senior operational and P&L leaders and key stakeholders
Ability to “connect the dots” across the enterprise, bringing a view across the provider experience (whether inside or outside of Humana)
Senior-level experience leading, motivating, coaching, and developing people and teams
Deep understanding and passion for our providers, their Humana journey, and their experience with us
Proven ability to push strategic thinking and think outside the box
Demonstrates an ability to transform strategic vision into tangible change; does not shy away from "rolling up their sleeves" and being directly involved in operations
Committed to the Humana’s new agile way of working through collaboration and breaking down siloes
Ability to communicate at a high level with a readiness to share learnings across the enterprise to enable broader change
