The following is an outline of the roles and responsibilities

Coordinate overall strategic direction of the group

Align resources to be “best in class” in the North Texas market and services to meet existing and future growth, goals and objectives

Establish strategic market position/service offerings for the group to align with client needs and Company strategic focus

Marketing/Project Pursuits

Actively lead Bridge capture planning (pursuits) in concert with the National Bridge Practice Manager

Have Go/No-Go authority on Bridge pursuits for Operations in conjunction with client development

Assess strategic hires, if necessary, to better position Company in pursuit phase

Actively engage DOT PM’s and PICS (client account managers) to assess, develop, and align service offering to be a leader for Bridge services in the North Texas market.


Responsible for day to day operations and overall resource management and financial metrics of the bridge group

Responsible for and day to day decisions on resource allocation, staffing, and project budgets

Responsible for assessment of Bridge team resources and effectiveness to meet current and future needs

Review and approve of new hires

Coordinate with other Bridge Practice Managers for execution of work outside of North Texas as needed.


Function as Design Manager, Project Manager or Project Director as needed to win opportunities, achieve technical results and desired client oCompanyomes

Oversee and actively manage Quality Assurance Program for the bridge group

Serve as a Technical Expert for our National Bridge Practice

Key Attributes

Segmental/Post-tensioned concrete bridge design experience

Experience with Alternative Delivery projects

Excellent technical skills in the design of bridges and other transportation related structures

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively convey information to technical and non-technical individuals.

Ability to communicate effectively with client.

A valid driver’s license and clean driving record


Required Qualifications

15+ year’s work experience

Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field

Licensed Texas Professional Engineer

Demonstrated experience in the North Texas bridge market sector to lead a group of professionals

Demonstrated client development and client management skills in North Texas
