This team manages major business development efforts connected with strategy execution, including both organic and acquisitive growth (e.g., acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships), and is responsible for directing and shaping DTCC's FinTech strategic initiatives. This requires that the team is very familiar with new and emerging FinTech, innovation and business models, and the potential for disruption and transformation of traditional businesses.

Department: Business Development


The DTCC Solutions Global Business Development team plays a key role in driving and developing growth initiatives and major business development efforts connected with strategy execution. The team advises DTCC senior leaders on emerging market, client and industry trends to promote faster and better-informed decisions supported by sound operational, market and financial analysis.


What You'll Do


Collaborate cross-functionally to realize new product or service innovations, aligned with DTCC’s corporate strategy, leveraging insights on industry trends, customer intelligence, emerging technologies, market solutions and innovations, along with a thorough understanding of DTCC’s products and services to identify and qualify opportunities, make recommendations for future growth and relevancy, and execute on key initiatives

Assist in discussions with industry leaders on both buy and sell side regarding potential new business opportunities

Liaise with all internal DTCC stakeholders regarding specific new business opportunities, including development of business cases

Assist in formulating DTCC’s FinTech strategy to enhance DTCC’s competitive positioning, expand the product offering and improve the economics of the business

Partner with DTCC Solutions businesses, while advocating for business development efforts with a view to DTCC’s overall benefit and not just the needs of any one individual business

Build and leverage an internal and external network to continually monitor client and market developments and solicit stakeholder feedback

Partner with market research team, business units, and other functions on client and competitive analysis to monitor ongoing activity, identify threats, discontinuities, and opportunities, including key FinTech industry developments

Identify and evaluate acquisition, partnership and investment opportunities

Evaluate FinTech firms, new and existing, and assess capability alignment to DTCC businesses

Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.


Sound Like You?

Minimum of 10 years of related experience

Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
