Oversee and support EMEA CFO in delivery of key internal (e.g CIB & Firmwide strategy/organisational change implementations) and external (e.g regulatory requests) driven initiatives

Assist in the development of EMEA's CFO key priorities

Prepare and present regulatory materials to regulators on the regional issues inclusive of legal entity strategy developments, booking model changes and governance changes

Help communicate the regional department's business strategy, performance and priorities

Proactively and on request provide strategic analysis and reporting

Build effective relationship and work closely with CIB, cross LOB and other support functions

Assist in identifying areas within Finance that can be changed to improve efficiencies

Be point of contact on all queries to EMEA CFO

Be point of coordination for any projects involving EMEA CFO

Be available to handle unexpected issues and to escalate to the right forums as and when necessary

Ensure EMEA CFO representation in all relevant cross Line-of-Business/functions forums

Summary of Core Responsibilities: 

Act as a trusted advisor to the EMEA CFO as member of the EMEA CIB F&BM Business Management team

Preparation of periodic and ad hoc business presentations/reviews for senior management and external regulators

Support of key strategic projects in order to assist with next steps, status report and issue escalation

Representation of CIB Finance and the wider Finance function; partnership with CIB businesses and other firmwide functions

Utilize analytical skills to gather and review data, identify trends and underlying causes, and produce summary documents

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Project management capabilities, good planning and delivery discipline; proven track record in execution/ implementation of project deliverables and creation of an accountability structure

Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop ideas, clearly present and draw conclusions; excellent attention to detail

Effective communicator, influencer and relationship builder with ability to partner effectively across multiple businesses and functions

Pro-active and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions

Strong organisational and time management skills; flexibility, ability to prioritise requests and multi-task

Understanding of Legal Entity management (balance sheet, p&l,capital, liquidity/ funding) 

Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure

Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls with a view to improvement

‘Big picture understanding’ of the firm’s activities in EMEA, transaction lifecycle, the role of front office, support and control functions (CAO, Risk, Finance, Control & Oversight)

Experience in CIB businesses (Market & IS or Banking) and good understanding of business processes and structures preferred
