About the Role:

RTI International is seeking a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to join its growing Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team. The BRM will serve as the strategic interface with Finance and Human Resources for the purpose of business-IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. The BRM serves as the relationship linkage between the business unit/s and Global Technology Solutions (GTS). They provide high-valued strategic consulting level support and guidance throughout key GTS initiatives. They facilitate and serve as a lead for the planning and execution of initiatives to enable the business unit/s to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology. They also communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding service requests, projects and initiatives.

Essential Duties:

Drive continuous business improvements and deliver results that exceed quality expectations.

Responsible for the creation of a strategic analysis document, including:

Market overview – benchmarking, competitive analysis;

Relative and transformational technology trends;

Internal and external capabilities supported by GTS;

Evaluation of project, technology, and resource constraints;

High-level plan for the year;

Defined KPIs and other measurable goals for the business capabilities;

Visionary roadmap, showing the future state of the capabilities;

Business & Technology roadmaps, setting expectations business and technology delivery by quarter;

Prioritization matrix, establishing clear priorities for each business capability.

Support and/or be responsible for ongoing communication of the roadmap and performance against it via:

Published up-to-date service/capability release calendars;

Capability and training blogs related to their roadmaps;

Service metrics for the related Business Unit;

Quarterly executive updates.

Demonstrate relevant external research of business process and technology options/alternatives.

Manage roadmap expectations aligned with resource capacity and utilization in order to forecast needs according to business priorities while balancing the area’s operational health.

Responsible for collaborative review of solutions and roadmap ideas with adherence to the architecture standards and the solution delivery team standards.

Introduce solutions that deliver business value and minimizes the organization complexity.

Responsible for strategic business initiatives across the institute by enhancing and evolving the technology environment.

Follow proper controls and participate in audits to ensure compliance with RTI and regulatory policies.

Deliver high quality presentations illustrating active ownership for delivery, performance, and innovation from technology service areas.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree and 6-8 years of relevant experience; Master's degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

At least 2 years of experience as Business Relationship Manager or similar position, preferably with HR or Finance business units. 

Experience with HR systems and/or financial systems.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in multi-channel HR or Financial environments (eCommerce, Consulting, Government) preferred. 

Experience with HR HCM, Talent, Benefits, and HRIS systems best practices and online/cloud solutions preferred.

Experience with Financial Payroll, ERP, Forecast/Planning systems, best practices and online/cloud solutions preferred.

Knowledge of customer facing HR and Financial technologies, industry, and landscape preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to negotiate, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.

Familiar with working closely with others on intangible issues across organizational and business-entity boundaries.

Ability to share technology risks and opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Institute.

Ability to advocate on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure GTS services meet their business priorities and needs.

Driven by results and metrics.

Flexibility in the face of obstacles and ability to solve complex problems creatively.

Ability to learn new solutions and processes without a lot of assistance.

Ability to work with a fast-paced, changing environment.

Strong project management skills. 

Must be a United States citizen due to specific contractual requirements.
