As the Business Unit Director, you will work with the team to develop a vision, strategic plan, and product roadmap for the Product Lines under your direction.You will be responsible for turning these strategies into annual execution plans with required investments, expected revenue outcomes, and leading KPI’s. You will work across functions to develop plans to deliver an outstanding customer experience and drive profitable growth.You will provide strategic direction and leadership to Electrolux’ Service Product Lines (Service Parts and Extended Service Agreements) for North America and help to grow our aftermarket business through modernized infrastructure, thoughtful product innovations and business collaborations, and loyalty afforded by our customers and consumers. In this role you will drive the overall performance of the Service Products P&L (Service Parts and Extended Service Agreements) with accountability to deliver Net Sales and CTF financial metrics through the development and execution of a 3-5 year strategic plan, including but not limited to: top line growth, product life cycle and portfolio management, innovation, IP development and protection, commercialization and cost management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide financial forecast updates including units, sales, GP1, and EBIT and work with their teams to establish pricing strategy to maximize growth, profit and market penetration and partner cross functionally to create or improve processes for product life cycle management, SKU rationalization, spare parts set-up for new major appliances and compliance engineering changes

Leverage internal and external relationships to drive strategic agendas and manage relationships with partners and vendors to develop new products and services and create a vision for internal vs. external service delivery competency and select and manage vendors to bridge any gaps and establish a line-up of universal spare parts and service agreements

Lead consumer insight to steer product development direction for the product roadmap and leverage relevant insights (industry, category, brand, channel, Go to Market, shopper, consumer and account) to develop a strategic agenda that drives focus and results

Collaborate with marketing to develop annual product marketing and brand plans and to ensure commercialization plans are aligned to product efforts with the correct product feature messaging

Develop capital investment & outline marketing SG&A investment planning to support NPI and support sales team in developing winning channel plans to increase penetration in existing channels and explore launching in new channels

Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and Risk teams for areas such as, product testing, claim territory evaluation, structure the legal contract guidelines for commercial business needs – ie. IP, joint development, Industrial Design, rights to source and distribute

Execute product maintenance activities like accurate master data management, compliance, claims documentation, packaging etc. Identify root cause issues and recommend action plans to drive continuous improvement

Partner with the Ownership Solutions PMO team on reporting, execution, schedules, and tracking of all aspects of a project from inception through production launch, including investment and cost budgets to meet financial targets.

Minimum Qualification

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA strongly preferred

Stage gate development processes, merchandising, design reviews, project planning, part tracking and milestone schedule management

Minimum of 10+ years related experience required in consumer packaged goods, product line management or product marketing

Proficient in Microsoft suite including but not limited to Excel,Word, MS Project and PowerPoint

Experience with implementing new processes, technologies or related systems leading to a significant increase in performance or business impact

Experience with P&L and delivering profitable growth

Experience with new product development activities to create, design, develop and implement new products and services
