Implement program philosophies and guidelines in the Child Development Centers (CDC) ensuring a courteous, caring, professional, service-oriented environment for the children. 

Primary Tasks:

Create schedules for staff, fill in for absent teachers; monitor staff performance and communicate and expectations, policies, and procedures.

Assess fiscal and program needs of the center and manage budget of more than $500,000 accordingly.

Manage billing records and licensing paperwork to ensure the center is in compliance with USDA, DHS and EHS regulations were applicable.

Identify developmental needs of children, professional needs of staff members, and support needs of families and act in accordance to meet those needs as best as possible within confines of authority and program guidelines.

Plan, supervise, and implement the programs in accordance with the policies, licensing, and philosophy of the program.

Ensure monthly reports are completed properly and in a timely manner and submitted to the appropriate persons.

Maintain records with appropriate, up to date, required papers and documentation in accordance with licensing regulations.

Conduct parent/teacher conferences, staff meetings, attend director’s meetings, and attend training and conferences or professional organizations appropriate for child development centers.

Produce monthly newsletter and plan field trips or community projects.

Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience: 

MINIMUM

Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or related field

Possess and maintain Bronze level in accordance with Appendix L-2, Oklahoma Director’s Credential

Strong interpersonal skills, multitasking ability, and time management skills

Ability to work independently with minimum direction

Good communicate skills quickly both orally and written

Knowledge and ability to work with appropriate software applications

Must obtain a bus driving certificate and CDL within first 90 days of employment

Two years’ experience in in child development or early childhood education

TARGET

Master’s Degree in early childhood education or related field

Possess and maintain Gold level in accordance with Appendix L-2, Oklahoma Director’s Credential

Exceptional interpersonal skills, effective leadership and time management skills

Ability to work independently with minimum direction

Good communicate skills quickly both orally and written

Knowledge and ability to work with appropriate software applications

Must obtain a bus driving certificate and CDL within first 90 days of employment

Four years’ experience in in child development or early childhood education
