You might be the Controller Robert Half Management Resources is looking for, if you want to have broad business engagement and impact with a business in the Manufacturing field. You might be a good fit for this Controller position, if you can manage the process to ensure that models are correct and are fully accrued each month, verify and hold the operations team accountable to ensure end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting and related financial controls are operating effectively. The Controller position is a long-term temporary engagement located in Strongsville, Ohio. How you will make an impact

- Ongoing monitoring of actual spend against budget, as well as leading actions needed for any expected shortfalls

- Collation of evidence and qualitative discussion of monthly financial results across global programs to support SOX controls

- Work closely with Treasury to provide timely cash flow forecasts

- Engage with various business partners for various program controllership and FP&A activities such as ensuring accuracy of accrual models, appropriate accounting and true-up activities and answer queries from business, area and subsidiary controllers

- Manage all processes and tools for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting accountable programs

- Confirm familiarity of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners

- Review and monitor that controls are designed and operating effectively in partnership with compliance

- Obtain understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners


- Experience engaging with teams and providing leadership across finance teams

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field

- CPA and/or CMA preferred

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills

- Deep understanding of Process Improvement

- Due diligence experience desired

- Knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement

- Working knowledge of ERP system

- Professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance

- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with experience building trusted advisor/consultant relationships and aptitude for influencing Executives and Business Decision Makers

- Implement and improve changes in procedures immediately

- Exemplary knowledge in office and accounting computer systems
