Our client, a prestigious firm in downtown Walnut Creek is looking for a CFO looking to provide Financial Leadership, Financial Budgeting and Reporting and Internal Controls!

Financial Leadership. Provides financial planning and decision support to the Provincial Treasurer. Serves as a financial reporting liaison to the Treasurer and other key stakeholders. Attends internal and external meetings relevant to the CFO role. Ensures financial objectives and initiatives are clear and up-to-date. Collaborates on corporate responsibility efforts and serves as a role model and guardian for financial integrity.

Financial Budgeting and Reporting. In conjunction with the Treasurer, oversees operating, capital and cash flow budgets to adapt to emerging circumstances, unpredictable events and shifting priorities. Performs adequate financial analysis to verify accuracy of the financial data. Monitors performance against budget and reports on budget status to the Treasurer and the Council. Assures that the financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner and that all record keeping, and financial reporting procedures are compliant with federal, state, and local laws.

Internal Controls. Identifies risks within each financial process and develops internal controls to mitigate risks. Monitors internal controls environment to assure that proper controls are in place and operating effectively. Assesses areas susceptible to fraud and mismanagement and develops, implements, and monitors prevention controls.
