The Global Compliance Director will lead the organization's Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective stakeholder that reviews and evaluates compliance issues and concerns within the organization. They will manage and reduce a wide variety of compliance risks for Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), a Fortive operating company. This will include implementing and improving compliance and risk management policies, programs and tools. The Global Compliance Director will also ensure that the management team and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of all applicable regulatory agencies.

Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations and ASP policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Developing and providing compliance training on a wide variety of compliance and integrity topics, including “train-the-trainers.”

Monitoring and assessing significant changes in Healthcare and Medical Device related laws and regulations and compliance trends that apply to operations and activities. Develop, update, and communicate policies to ensure continued compliance.

Creating and tracking compliance program metrics to deliver accountability and ensure effective use of compliance tools.

Ensuring that the appropriate compliance policies are being effectively communicated to, and tools leveraged by, the appropriate associates, leaders, and functions.

Reporting compliance metrics to Fortive/ASP management and management at Fortive corporate, including the General Counsel and Fortive Chief Compliance Officer.

Identifying gaps in compliance awareness, policies, and tools and building countermeasures and sustainable and effective processes to close those gaps; continuous improvement of compliance tools and other processes involving compliance policies and programs.

Liaise and coordinate with Fortive’s Chief Compliance Officer in rolling out compliance policies and tools and in investigating compliance issues and concerns.

Working with global and regional leadership teams in reducing risks related to potential non-compliance and corruption.

Assist in the training of third parties (i.e., distributors, agents, authorized service contractors) as appropriate.

Maintaining records of compliance training, investigations, and related activities.

Retaining and managing outside counsel auditors, or other experts as appropriate to assist in investigations, training, and other compliance-related projects.

Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level


Minimum Qualifications:


10+ years cof ompliance experience within a legal or compliance department of an international company or comparable relevant legal experience.

5+ years of experience managing people

2+ years of experience leading global teams

Bachelor Degree required; JD preferred
