The Business Engagement and Governance Department (R105) is seeking a Chief Information Architect to plan and execute technical activities to ensure the successful implementation of MITRE’s Unified Information Architecture (UIA).
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Refine and establish MITRE’s Unified Information Architecture (UIA), to focus on key information asset’s and functions in MITRE’s strategy and work program
Develop and execute a enterprise data strategy, to include data management strategy, guidelines and governance for MITRE mission and supporting (e.g., HR, Financial, etc.), Sponsor, Partner, and 3rd party data, including:
Security, access, privacy and compliance policies and controls for
Handling, storing, processing all data (including sponsor and 3rd party) in MITRE’s environment (e.g., CUI, HR, financial data)
Ensure UIA is well integrated with enterprise computing and info services (ECIS) portfolios and projects
Develop governance process for UIA
Establish requirements and provide stewardship and curation of enterprise data catalog
Establish data management to enable data analytics and the intelligence enterprise
Identify data-related skill sets and leverage Tech Center expertise
Enterprise data stewardship and privacy training
Define and implement measures of effectiveness for MITRE’s UIA
The successful candidate will be asked to coordinate a variety of technical projects.Background and skills in the following areas are essential for success in this role:
Track record of information architecture work with impact on business/mission performance
Degree in IT or Engineering discipline with a focus in data engineering or data science
Knowledge of Data analytics and intelligence
Ability to document, track, and plan multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills including collaborating, influencing, and flexible team working
Strong analytical and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
Sufficient level of technical background in data management and IT infrastructure to understand and coordinate technical teams and activities.
Ability to exercise resourcefulness and leading by influence to resolve project problems
Experience with Data Management tools (e.g., Barometer IT) to communicate technical integrations and data
Ability to think creatively and be driven by opportunities to continually improve.
Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
