The Chief Equity Officer is a senior level leader creating the vision for diversity, equity and inclusion excellence and leads the design of transformational culture change, programs, goals, initiatives, benchmarks, and metrics. The Chief Equity Officer dual reports to the SVP & Chief People Officer and SVP & Chief Community Health Officer, while serving as an advisor to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team. Consulting with executive leadership, this leader develops an intentional strategy and cohesive approach, cultivating an environment that values and demonstrates Intermountain's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

This leader embraces diverse perspectives and experiences, nurturing relationships while partnering with both internal and community groups and members to improve patient and caregiver experiences, help people live the healthiest lives possible, and curate a curriculum for developing leadership and caregivers to foster an inclusive organization and enhance complex cultural competency through impactful and measurable oCompanyomes. Reporting to the President and CEO as a key Advisory, this officer uses their influence and passion to create a sense of urgency to evolve Intermountain into a national leader in diversity, inclusion and equity. This leader partners closely with the Chief People Officer, Chief Community Health Officer and Office of Patient Experience to ensure strategies and operational plans align to address equity for caregivers, our patients and members, and resolve health disparities in our community. This leader also champions change, innovating best practice approaches that support, enhance, and promote the advancement and sustaining of diversity, equity and inclusion and address social determinants of health.

This role has responsibility to bring caregivers from functional areas across the system in pursuit of shared equity goals, utilizing a system diversity, equity and inclusion council to engage and coordinate planning and execution. Additionally, this role has fiscal responsibility for the allocation of funds designated to support strategic equity and inclusion initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience leading and creating diversity, equity and inclusive initiatives on a large scale, in a clinical and community setting. Proven success in changing a culture.

Experience leading enterprise initiatives across functional areas.

Experience preparing and implementing training materials.

- and -

Management-level experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree.
