Galvanize the Baltimore Jewish community by leading the new Center for Leadership which will empower both lay and professional leaders to shape their Jewish leadership journeys and exemplify excellence, ensuring a vibrant and philanthropic greater Baltimore Jewish community. You will build on an already strong culture of developing volunteer and professional leaders and will create new strategies to inspire, engage and train leaders for the 21st century. You will be joined by exceptional partners who are committed to the growth and development of leaders throughout the community.


You are experienced in providing the exciting vision and excellent management necessary to lead a new organization forward. You understand the value of lifelong learning as a leader and the importance of skilled lay and professional leaders who are passionate about Jewish life and values. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes the challenge of launching and growing a new initiative.


What you’ll do


 Serve as the articulate and inspiring chief leadership officer for the Center for Leadership, motivating the development of leaders and advocating for leadership as a community priority

Successfully integrate three legacy organizations into an innovative, unified Center for Leadership dedicated to the nourishment of lay and professional leaders

Develop and deepen partnerships with community stakeholders, including but not limited to: The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, its system of agencies, local synagogues, lay and professional leaders, and other Jewish organizations 

Lead the professional team of the Center for Leadership and staff the Board of Trustees of the Center for Leadership



What you’ll bring to the job


Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical and community-building skills with a demonstrated ability to lead with vision and successfully manage change

Superior written and verbal skills and the ability to inspire diverse stakeholders

 Strong Jewish knowledge and ability to integrate Jewish values and leadership vision

Good understanding of lay/professional dynamics at different levels of leadership

Deep knowledge of financial management and comfort developing financial resources.

Master’s degree preferred; relevant commensurate experience will be considered

More than 8 years of experience in the field of non-profit management or related field
