In the short-term, the CIO will: 

•Build relationships and credibility with key business partners focused on shared delivery, simplifying business processes, and providing sound recommendations for action; 

•Leverage strong people leadership skills to enhance a culture of business partnership and a shared success model; and  

•Assess business wants and needs, identify and select among alternative approaches, implement best practices, collaboratively build and implement plans with all stakeholders. 


The ongoing responsibilities of the position include: 

•Proactively recommend and prioritize services that enhance the enterprise through business impact, increased effectiveness, and improved efficiency;  

•Seek out and explore new opportunities, business models, resources, and concepts and create appropriate business cases for action (find new ways to do things better, faster, and more cost effectively);  

•Deliver solutions that enable internal business partners to improve customer engagement, grow revenue, enhance operational efficiency, simplify business processes, and use data and analytics for strategic advantage; 

•Ensure systems, projects and processes are designed, deployed and managed in a secure manner.Support security, compliance and privacy initiatives to reduce risk to the enterprise and customers alike;

•Collaboratively develop strategic plans consistent with current and long-range objectives, policies, and corporate direction; 

•Coach and develop the information technology team, providing feedback and opportunities for growth; foster a culture of ownership and innovation; 

•Lead collaborative enterprise-wide information technology project selection, prioritization, and sequencing; balance desired outcomes against available resources; 

•Set and implement the enterprise strategy for technology collaboration platforms and personal computing devices; 

•Facilitate cross-departmental issue identification, role clarity, barrier removal, problem solving, and issue resolution;  

•Assess and continually evolve business processes and internal business support systems to improve productivity, efficiency, and usability; 

•Identify emerging information technologies to be evaluated, integrated, and deployed within the company; 

•Select vendors and negotiate agreements for the purchase of technology subscriptions, services, software, hardware, and support; lead information technology vendor engagement and performance evaluation; 

•Evaluate the results of the information technology organization regularly and systematically and report results to the executive team; create, maintain, and evaluate clearly understood business performance metrics to assess the gap between desired versus actual outcomes and demonstrate cost-effectiveness;  

•Manage information technology assets effectively; 

•Manage the information technology budget in alignment with tactical and strategic business needs; 

•Ensure accurate and timely documentation of processes, procedures, and policies; and 

•Prioritize activities based on available resources; identify and deploy additional resources, internal and external, as required.  

What you will bring

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in progressively responsible management and information systems related positions.The ideal candidate’s experience will include a leadership position in information technology for an international company delivering complex technology solutions and services.The final candidate will have many of the following experiences, skills, and personal attributes:   

•Proven track record as a Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, or Vice President of Information Technology in a successful and growing technology or services company.Ideally, this will include experience in a private equity-driven environment operating internationally;   

•A track record of leading, mentoring, and managing a 125+ person IT organization.Experience leading a proactive, business partner driven IT culture will be a significant advantage; 

•Demonstrated customer service and business partner mentality with a record of building strong and collaborative relationships; 

•Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions is mandatory.Experience with, Microsoft, ServiceNow, Amazon Web Services, and SAP solutions is desirable;  

•An ideal candidate will have experience in scaling a business from under $1B to over $1B in revenue. M&A, IPO, and public company experience are desirable; other highly desirable attributes include: 

•Demonstrated ability to set direction and make technology decisions in the context of strategic business needs; 

•A strong focus in managing and prioritizing multiple large-scale projects to ensure successful completion and value realization; 

•Excellent knowledge of technology environments and implementation options, including applications, cloud technologies, global staffing, collaboration solutions, information security, and on-premises technology;  

•Proven experience supporting a distributed global workforce of at least 2,500 people; 

•Demonstrated business perspective with the proven ability to align IT priorities with business objectives, strategic plans and organizational direction;  

•A bright and creative mind with highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytic abilities, and superior communication skills; 

•A successful executive who is smart, passionate, energetic, and results focused; 

•A sense of urgency and the ability to communicate it to the team; and  

•Impeccable honesty and ethics. 


•An undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or management with an emphasis on information systems or equivalent experience is required.An advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
