As our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) you will focus on the establishment and optimization of strategic and day-to-day insurer relationships supporting sales growth targets. This full time regular position is based out of our Burnaby head office location and includes oversight of our In-House Underwriting and Claims Divisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and oversee Marketing, In-House Underwriting and Claims Divisions including support and facilitation of a positive work environment that attracts, retains and motivates talent

Establish, improve and maintain insurance company relationships and communication

Develop and execute strategic plans, including new products and enhancements to support client needs, market changes and the sales team

Place the right risks with the right markets - actively participate in risk placement

Enhance and maximize growth & profitability with our carriers

Leverage the HUB brand to outpace the market and source market leading capacity and new carrier relations

Contribute to the budget process by setting and maintaining goals with respect to remuneration earned from our carriers

Support national HUB carrier targets and initiatives

As a part of our Executive Management Team, the Chief Marketing Officer is a key contributor in developing and executing on HUB’s local growth strategy while driving and supporting our corporate vision. As a successful candidate you will possess the following characteristics:

Strong analytical capabilities and financial acumen

Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills

Ability to drive results for HUB while maintaining exceptional relationships and working collaboratively with all stakeholders

A passion for business and drive to challenge the status quo and manage change with an innovative approach

Strategic and operational management experience with the ability to balance sales and operational needs of the business

REQUIREMENTS

Level 2 General Insurance License

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management position

Minimum 10 years insurance industry experience

Industry designation preferred (CAIB, CIP,FCIP, CRM)

Ability to travel as required
