The Chief Nursing Officer is a new post that spans the executive team across both Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust and the Northern Devon Healthcare Trust. They will be a member of the Executive Committee and a Board attendee at both trusts and will be responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of nursing & midwifery.
This is an exciting and very senior level post and to be effective you will need to be a proven and credible Director of Nursing / Chief Nurse Officer in a substantial acute NHS organisation and have experience of transforming clinical services through working closely with clinicians as well as a passion for patient care and patient experience. You’ll be joining a close working and very supportive executive team across both organisations so your ability to work with a team will be every bit as important as your nursing and leadership skills.
In exchange we offer the opportunity to help lead two very different but highly credible and patient focused organisations, retaining what is good and individual about them whilst building on areas that need development as we seek to consolidate the rapid improvements and innovations driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and the continued delivery of excellent patient care in Devon. You will be supported by a Director of Nursing at each trust, and your first act in post will be to participate in their imminent recruitment.
