What You Will Do

As an Associate with Saint Thomas Health Svcs-TN, you will have the opportunity to

Oversee the overall management of nursing practice, nursing education and professional development, nursing research, nursing administration and nursing services.

Responsibilities:

Collaborates with hospital leadership and medical staff to identify and develop new patient care programs, policies, procedures, and practice standards for the nursing departments.

Develops and implements a program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care provided by the organization.

Evaluates the function and structure of assigned areas to best determine the allocation and utilization of services and budgets appropriately according to strategic goals.

Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to nursing services and healthcare.

Provides leadership to management within areas of responsibility.

Oversees the development and continuous improvement of services, policies, processes, and programs.

Formulates and implements operational strategies and initiatives.

Oversees operations, budget, financial targets, and human resources management.

Formulates and implements solutions addressing associate turnover.

Process for improvement of patient care.

Associate retention and training.

Patient Satisfaction services.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

Diploma 

Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred

Work Experience:

5 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
