The VP Operations & COO will provide strategic and operational leadership for various service lines at assigned Centura Health Hospital to include evaluations, development and modification of programs and services to meet the changing market demands. This focus includes developing and maintaining strong staff, physician, and community relations. Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout Centura Health. Each leader must have a personal and professional connection to the Mission of this Christian organization. This position must be a team player themselves and contribute toward a Team centered approach that lends itself to ensuring “team before self” in order to lead this complex, highly matrixed organization into the differentiated leading role as THE system of choice. What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Master's in Health Administration or Business Administration
5 years in a progressive healthcare system environment in a leadership/administration role with experience in ambulatory and/or acute care setting with demonstrated success in a business/management role.
Knowledge of financial systems and analysis, computer systems and applications.
Skill in planning, organizing, personnel management; exercising initiative, judgment, complex problem-solving, decision making, developing and maintaining effective relationships with providers, clinical and administrative staff, patients and public.
