This position is for a progressive, hands-on MS degree physicist with a successful track record in leadership, project management and clinical operations.The Chief Physicist will facilitate future growth of the Radiation Oncology Physics program and ensure that equipment and technology meet or exceed the standard of care.
Responsibilities include supervision and training of three dosimetrists and two physicists; organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Responsibilities also include all aspects of clinical radiation oncology physics, quality assurance, and verifying the accuracy of treatment planning.Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential; as well as interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment.External beam treatment modalities include 3D/VMAT/SBRT and SRS. • Master’s degree in Medical Physics, Physics or related science
• Board certified by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent
• Currently listed as an Authorized Medical Physicist for HDR, preferred
• 10 - 15 years’ experience as a Clinical Physicist
