The candidate must be able to develop and implement the overall Quality Assurance Program for Radiation Oncology. To include, but not limited to radiation producing equipment, brachytherapy sources, as well as treatment planning and calibrations for the department equipment and in accordance to the surveys pursuant to NJ DEP requirements and acceptance testing. The Chief Physicist with assure compliance with all licensing and accreditation agencies. Responsible for the institutional licensing renewals and amendments when required. Participation in our safety program, Radiation Safety Committee, and Quality Assurance meetings. Oversight of our Physics staff including Staff Physicist and Dosimetrist. Assist with all departmental ACR accreditation preparations for all modalities as warranted.
Requirements: Master's degree from an accredited school of Medical Physics, maintains all required credentials for Radiation Therapy physics. Board Certified Medical Physicist for Radiation Oncology by either American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP). Licensed by NJ DEP/NRC as Authorized Medical Physicist/HDR Physicist. Minimally eight (8) years experience in Radiation Oncology Physics.
Position will include on call responsibilities
Required working knowledge of following:
Cyberknife Treatment Unit, Rapid Arc, and HDR brachytherapy dose treatment planning, Ra-223 Xofigo therapy program.
Cyberknife, Trilogy, and True Beam linear accelerators including all required beam scanning and calibrations (annual and monthly spot checks required).
