Responsible for developing the overall Kansas Market strategy and ensuring implementation of strategic initiatives that position the Ministry Market for accomplishment of company's Strategic Direction. Has leadership accountability for delivering on the 10 key responsibilities* of the Strategy Ministry-wide Function within the Ministry Market. Ensures coordination and alignment with Ascension on the overall Ministry Market strategy, clinically integrated system of care partnerships, and fee-for-value arrangements.Serves as a subject matter expert within the Ascension’s Strategy MWF to support the MWF’s leadership responsibilities across Ascension.
Leads the development of the overall Ministry Market strategy and strategic plan, working in partnership with the Ministry Market Executive, Ministry Market Board, and Ministry Market leadership team.
Leads the strategic aspects of the annual Integrated Strategic, Operational and Financial Plan (ISOFP) development process, including identification of high priority strategic opportunities, risks, key capital projects and potential acquisitions and partnerships.
Co-leads with the Ministry Market Chief Financial Officer the development of the three-year capital plan and ensures alignment with the Ministry Market strategy.
Co-leads with the Clinically Integrated System of Care dyad the development of service line strategic plans and clinical programs.
Leads the periodic assessment of the Ministry Market’s Clinically Integrated System of Care, including the identification of high priority gaps/opportunities.
Leads the development of the Ministry Market’s overall ambulatory strategy, including the services to be offered and the partnerships that will be required, and ensures alignment with Ascension.
Leads the process to identify the Ministry Market’s provider needs and which specialties/practices/provider-types should be pursued to implement the provider development plan.
Champions the Ministry Market’s transition to value-based care and population health and ensures alignment to Ascension’s Strategic Direction; partners with Finance and Ascension Care Management to pursue Market payer and employer opportunities.
Leads efforts to identify merger or acquisition targets, partnerships, joint ventures and other strategic partnership opportunities.
Ensures the Master Facilities Plan process is conducted in a manner that aligns with the Ministry Market strategic plan.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree required
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and business development in a complex healthcare organization.
