We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Chief Technology Officer to join our executive leadership team. The CTO will manage all aspects of our platform software development, including technology strategy, product management, product delivery, team development, and management of the software development life cycle. The CTO role is critical to accelerating product innovation and scaling operations as part of continued market leadership.
SCOPE OF THE ROLE
Serve as a member of the leadership team providing expert counsel and guidance on overall technology strategy
Implement a product roadmap and set the priority of new products and features
Drive a robust software development life cycle and process that includes requirements definition, resource and schedule estimation, sprint execution, and launch plans
Evolve the technical architecture to utilize new SaaS, mobile, and other technologies in areas like digital telephony integration, data analytics, and machine learning
Build a solid core of technical skills and expand the Company’s intellectual property
Maintain strong technical relationships with the Company’s strategic partners
Lead a culture of continuous improvement and innovation; maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and advise the Board of Directors on their impact on the business
Ensure and lead DevOps best practices, ensuring the availability and security of the Company’s services
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline;
10+ years of leading software engineering and product management with high growth software companies;
Ability to enable new business models and modernize legacy applications through the use of modernized technology stacks
Strong operational and management skills with a track record of on-time delivery and consistently meeting project deadlines
Experience working cross functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams
Innovative, passionate people leader able to assess, recruit, develop talent and manage high performance teams
Ability to communicate to senior decision makers in a clear, compelling way, and to drive decisive action in partnership with others in a large, matrixed organization.
Experience leading diverse teams (Development, DevOps, QA, DBA), including the use of third party resources
Knowledgeable in scalable, multi-tenant SaaS application design principles and relational database architectures
Deeply familiar with modern cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern agile development practices, including Devops.
Well-versed in Agile software development methodologies, including a strong partnership with product management
Exceptional communication, leadership and influencing skills; ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments, with both technical and business groups internally and externally.
Strong business acumen; able to quickly grasp key business drivers in the industry and recommend how the Company should respond
Experience establishing and managing to a financial budget, including making trade-offs in prioritizing projects
