The Chief Technology Officer will be the most senior technology leader at the Company, reporting to the CEO and serving on the executive leadership team.The CTO will manage all aspects of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application software development using an Agile methodology, including technology strategy, product delivery, team development, and management of the software development life cycle.The CTO is also responsible for scaling and managing the technical infrastructure and operations in support of a growing base of customers and applications.The CTO role is critical to accelerating product innovation and scaling operations as part of continued market leadership. 


Essential Functions


Serve as a member of the leadership team and provide expert counsel and guidance on technology matters, including the vision for the future

Partner with product management to define and implement a product roadmap and set the priority of new products and features

Drive a robust software development life cycle and process that includes requirements definition, resource and schedule estimation, sprint execution, and launch plans

Evolve the technical architecture to utilize new SaaS, mobile, and other technologies in areas like digital telephony integration, data analytics, and machine learning

Recruit, train, and manage a technology team that consists on-site, remote, and 3rd party (near shore and/or off shore) resources

Build a solid core of technical skills and expand the Company’s intellectual property

Maintain strong technical relationships with the Company’s strategic partners

Lead a culture of continuous improvement and innovation; maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and advise the Board of Directors on their impact on the business

Establish leading DevOps best practices, ensuring the availability and security of the Company’s services


Professional Qualifications


The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:


Well-respected technology leader with 15+ years of progressive engineering management experience with high growth software companies

Ability to enable new business models and modernize legacy applications through the use of modernized technology stacks

Strong operational and management skills with a track record of on-time delivery and consistently meeting project deadlines

Experience working cross functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success organizations

Coding experience with sufficient programming knowledge to contribute as needed and establish credibility with other developers

Innovative, passionate people leader able to assess, recruit, develop talent and manage high performance teams

Experience leading diverse teams (Development, DevOps, QA, DBA), including the use of 3rd party resources

Knowledgeable in scalable, multi-tenant SaaS application design principles and relational database architectures

Experience managing Azure or similar cloud environments

Well-versed in Agile software development methodologies, including a strong partnership with product management

Effective at internal and external relationship building, with good communication skills

Strong business acumen; able to quickly grasp key business drivers in the industry and recommend how the Company should respond

Experience establishing and managing to a financial budget, including making trade-offs in prioritizing projects
