Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Technology Officer is an integral member of the Executive Leadership team, serving as a strategic leader and trusted advisor across the company. This role has significant impact on strategy and business operations.The CTO is responsible for providing vision and leadership in developing and implementing information technology initiatives.

Essential Functions 

Utilizes combination of industry knowledge, technical expertise, and business acumen to provide strategic guidance and direction across the organization.

Provides exceptional leadership in developing highly engaged, high performance teams.

Establishes overall strategy and vision for internal systems architecture and design, development, and technical operations.

Participates in company strategic business planning and identifies IT and other business implications, opportunities and change initiatives to meet strategic plans.

Provides leadership and vision for innovation strategies and emerging technologies

This role also provides an organizing force as a catalyst to resolve challenges that surface, and determine solutions that preserve the value-proposition and maintain forward momentum - often vital to projects in the early stages of development, proof-of-concept and feasibility.

Keeps abreast of new technologies, identifies opportunities to significantly enhance business performance, and adopts new technologies and processes to facilitate change.

Responsible for technology and systems with a high degree of reliability, scalability, functionality, capacity, and performance and related disaster recovery programs.

Collaborates with security leaders and ensures development and execution of strong security and compliance initiatives.

Develops a strong network with external customers and IT and other executives, creates executive presence within strategic organizations, and represents the company in the industry.

Ensures development of, and compliance with, effective internal controls, governance, and policy, as well as legal and regulatory compliance.

Support the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong record of successful leadership as CTO in technology, payments or financial services.

Solid understanding of financial services, the fraud and risk space, IT and Cyber security.

Strategic and visionary leader with strong business acumen and highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Successful leadership of high availability, high volume, low latency transactional environments delivering technical products and capabilities to external customers.

Experience leading Big Data environments in highly regulated industries.

Experience leading large scale projects including Cloud data center migration and distributed architectures.

Respected leader with high level of personal and professional integrity.

Demonstrated success developing and retaining highly engaged, high performing teams.

Influential leader of change and innovative solutions.

Academic and professional credentials including an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, mathematics or related business field, with an MBA preferred.
