As the PMO/Ops director, you will be responsible for managing the CIG program management office as well as the business operations team.CIG (Chipsets & IP Group) is part of Intel’s Infrastructure & Platform Solutions Group.

The program management office (PMO) manages the end-to-end success of CIG IPs ; it drives the formation of a competitive IP strategy, solid execution commitments, and unparalleled execution; furthermore, it is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally and externally.

CIG operations drive the planning and execution of CIG's operational budget. As the Biz ops manager, the director counsels senior management, assists, and drives the business decision-making process. You will further ensure compliance with financial, legal and corporate policies, drive process analysis/design and implementation, plan and budgeting as part of plan of record (POR) cycle. Additionally, you will coordinate group activities and cross-functional teams/meetings and finance interface.

Hence, you will ensure that amazing new products and technologies are completed on time and on budget. Employing thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures, you will plan and manage technical programs or projects to meet established objectives or goals. In other words, you will get the job done.

Your team will drive multiple programs simultaneously and work with key stakeholders to identify and implement lowest cost/risk solutions. You'll assess risk, identify issues, and work cross-organizationally to resolve problems. The ability to synthesize complex information into clear messages that get delivered through internal and external communications channels is critical. This role will incorporate business unit customer requirements into technology development plans. You will be interacting with engineering, third party suppliers, technical leads, and finance. Strong stakeholder management skills are key.

Responsibilities may include:

Drive the transformation of IP development and Lead the PMO office and ensures it:

o Delivers and shape a winning strategy and develop robust, competitive IP plans.

o Manages the team to own development of execution plans leading to solid IP3 commits - Planning, Arch, RTL, SW/FW, FPGA, SLE, testchips, etc

o Drive execution and business/technical issue resolution; own the IP commits

o Manages the IP and Product deep-dives/MRC to bring management and stakeholders attention to key areas.

o Support CIG through best-at-Intel real time execution indicators & tool effectiveness

o Influence Intel-wide tool adoption/adaptation to CIG needs & BKMs

o Drive unwavering IP governance to ensure consistent IP standards across CIG.

Ensures cross-functional alignment and organizational support for the execution of the IPs development and delivery by facilitating internal and external stakeholder meetings. Driving the team to 'out-of-box" thinking and creative issue resolution.

Fluidly interacts with all levels of the organization and can act as spokesperson for CIG, and may represent CIG both internally and externally.

Responsible for comprehensiveness and quality of program information in the internal systems, databases, and communication to Senior Management and program team

Expected to identify bottlenecks, surface issues, and proactively drive for their resolution.

Conducts thorough assessment of intangible variables, fundamental issues, providing strategy and directions for multiple programs and/or initiatives

Leads ad-hoc cross-functional task forces as needed aiming at issue resolution.

Independently identifies issues, creates solutions, and leads implementation and execution of plans that may have cross-functional and Intel-wide impacts

Effectively influences, negotiates, and collaborates within and outside of the company,

Independent problem solver

Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas

Ensures effective, proactive and open communications, horizontally and vertically, in order to achieve transparency and clarity of program goals, progress and issues.

Develop departmental processes, procedures and tools to improve departmental functioning and portfolio management.

Supervises PCs/PMs/Sr PMs

Managing a portfolio of programs and/or initiatives


Qualifications


Minimum 10 Years Experience in Silicon development

BS in Electrical engineering and MBA preferred.

Has an advanced understanding of the product life cycle (PLC), technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program, and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project completion.

Prior management experience is strongly preferred.
