Collect and critically analyze information from peer-reviewed scientific journals and public data sources; abstract relevant data into the required format and verify for accuracy.


Compile and create educated summaries of clinical and scientific literature, discovering new facts by analyzing the collected data.


Summarize results of analyses and present in both written and verbal formats.


Monitor and assess performance of computational approaches, analytical tools, and data models as used in current clinical and research procedures.


Identify and assess existing computational approaches, analytical tools, and data models applicable to clinical and research goals.


Define and test novel computational approaches, analytical tools, and data models as required by clinical and research goals.


Participate in collaborations with other clinical or research labs and affiliates.


Participate in presentations and demonstrations of analyses and procedures at conferences or other institutions.


Supervise or guide staff, as needed; schedule and assign workload; set appropriate deadlines; review work for quality and timeliness.

Job Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements


Education: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Philosophy, or Masters in scientific field and three years of relevant experience, or combination of relevant experiences. 


Experience: Three (3) years of related work experience or combination of relevant experiences, including a minimum of one (1) year work experience in a molecular diagnostics laboratory that performs germline genetic testing. 


License/Certification:


Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Strong analytical skills.


Demonstrated understanding of genetics and genomics


Ability to understand scientific literature, experimental procedures and their limitations, and applications of this information in the clinical setting


Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.


Experience with data manipulation and integration, relational databases, and statistics.


Strong written and oral English communication skills.
