Plan, direct and coordinate nursing services.
Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of all nursing personnel.
Provide clinical leadership, strategic and long term goals for the nursing staff.
Determine, assign and assess performance objectives for nursing department.
Organize, coordinate, develop and review policies, procedures and nursing protocols to meet all regulatory, compliance and quality care standards.
Responsible for the quality of care, operational and financial efficiency of the nursing department.
Lead and develop the nursing staff within the facility, providing performance goals, feedback and development opportunities.
Develop and oversee function/departmental budget and reporting.
Direct and conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel.
Provide direct care as needed.

Regularly makes rounds and interacts with patients to ensure patient satisfaction ** This is a must for this role**
Maintains a current knowledge of healthcare industry trends and changes and ensures facility is prepared and compliant.
Works as a partner with the CEO and ensures that there is an open line of communication and positive interaction
Must be a registered nurse. Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred, or the equivalent, from a school of nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing, or qualified by education and experience in the care of the mentally ill.
Minimum of 3 years psychiatric/behavioral health experience with one to two years progressive managerial experience.
Current RN license within the state of Californian.
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
First aid may be required based on state or facility.
