BAE Systems is seeking a Communications Specialist/Staff Officer to quantitatively and qualitatively improve communication with and collaboration between Federal Government/IC Agency employees working worldwide. The position will assist the agency Military Support Directorate Front Office in implementing strategies designed to inform, engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
7-10 years of experience with a Bachelors degree, or 11-14 years without a degree.
Ability to develop and implement internal and external communications; proactively identify and implement marketing strategies. Based on awareness and understanding of the warfight and IC agency mission and operations tempo, identify and reach out to potential users and user groups.
Experience with analyzing customer needs; make appropriate recommendations for message/information development, communication method selection, and timing of messages. Tailor messages by target audience.
Experience with research, writing, editing, and publishing communications products (e.g., print, web, electronic, briefings).
Have the ability and experience to provide direction to graphic designers, briefing developers, photographers,
illustrators and other required staff.
Experience with developing new communication methods to reach target audiences. Support Front Office senior leaders by writing speeches, talking points, video scripts, briefings, and other communications products as necessary.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Basic to detailed knowledge of the Intelligence Community and their interaction/support to the warfighter.
Basic to detailed knowledge understanding of the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.
BS degree with Marketing, Communications, or related, major. MBA or Masters in Statistics preferred
Background in statistics; experience interpreting results of data analysis, specifically in interpreting and analyzing results of
internal advertising campaigns.
Experience with techniques and tools relevant to data and marketing analysis
Experience with spreadsheet modeling, regression analysis, survival analysis, report creation, and trend forecasts
Strategic marketing and project management experience to include experience writing successful business and internal marketing plans.
