As a member of the Communications and Sustainability team under the Marketing Department, and reporting to the Director, Communications and Sustainability, the Corporate Communications Manager will develop and execute the company’s corporate communication strategy for Keurig Dr Pepper Canada (KDP Canada), the third leading beverage company in Canada. With a primary goal of elevating and protecting the leadership and reputation of KDP Canada with external audiences, this person develops and executes corporate PR strategies and tactics that promote awareness and engagement among our target stakeholders; develops corporate messaging and assets; and supports issues and crisis communications. This leader has two direct reports: our internal translator and our Communications and community relations specialist. 


Design, develop and successfully execute the various strategies and components of our corporate communications plan, with an aim to protect and promote the reputation of KDP Canada across all external channels

Lead collaboration with all departments including Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain and HR, to identify initiatives and story ideas to leverage in external communications

Manage creation of communications materials, including messaging, FAQs, executive memos and other collateral, representing the corporate voice authentically

Support proactive and reactive media relations strategies for KDP Canada’s corporate initiatives, including serving as a company spokesperson and training of spokespeople

Support corporate issues and crisis mitigation and management, including working with Consumer Care and Social Media teams to develop response strategies for escalated consumer situations

Manage company speaking opportunities and awards, including researching opportunities and managing submissions

Partner with internal constituencies to create and embed consistent corporate messaging and storylines for multiple audiences, including internal communications, customer communications, learning and development, and talent acquisition

Foster relationships with and provide day-to-day direction to external communications agencies and vendors

Foster relationships with the US Corporate Communications team

Work to ensure high visibility of our sustainability initiatives, through public relations, influencer campaigns and the development of various communication tools 


Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or related field

6-8 years of experience in a similar position (public relations, external communications, press relations) – agency or in-house

Must be bilingual (French and English - written and spoken) 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience in crisis management and/or governmental relations

Experience working for a public relations agency or in the consumer goods industry is an asset   SKILLS

Outstanding verbal and written communications skills in both in both French and English

Solid general knowledge of all aspects of marketing

Ability to travel occasionally as required
