Patrick Industries Corporate Office is growing and seeking an Environmental Manager to join our growing Environmental, Health and Safety Team.


Patrick Industries is a leading manufacturer and distributor of components products and building materials serving different industries throughout the United States including RV, Manufactured Housing, Industrial and Marine segments. Reporting to the Vice President of EHS, The Environmental Manager will provide strategic direction and leadership for Environmental initiatives. This will include leading strategic projects to help guide the company with its external and internal environmental sustainability operations. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing risk and opportunity in line with environmental sustainability for the company and will be tasked with driving a strong Environmental culture for the Organization.


Other responsibilities will include:



  • Develop and implement the overall strategy to manage environmental compliance throughout the Organization

  • Create, implement, and maintain programs and procedures to that align with environmental sustainability

  • Effectively audit our environmental standards and collaborate with the business units in supporting programs that will keep us compliant

  • Effectively develop strategical Emergency Response plans, help train the trainer to implement those plans and be able to assume the EHS Representative role to support business units as needed

  • Prepare and review environmental documents

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations

  • Coach, train, and guide leadership and operations on environmental compliance guidelines

  • Implement environmental, safety, and health policies and procedures

  • Manage other procedures of environmental project handling and prepare budget

  • Identify, Develop, and deliver all applicable environmental training for business unit personnel


Requirements



  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years’ of relevant experience

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred or Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Environmental (REM) desired

  • Knowledge of EPA regulations

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience implementing and managing safety practices and compliance with the rules and regulations regarding a safe and healthy work environment

  • Strong track record of transformative results through programs and training

  • Demonstrated success in Environmental leadership and passionate about the sustainability of the company

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to produce clear technical reports

  • Strong personal accountability and follow-through skills

  • A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities

  • Proven change management skills by influencing and inspiring teams to welcome change and embracing new directions
