The Associate Director, Space Planning & Strategy recommends, plans, and executes site space-plan changes. Oversees and plans annual facility spending for office services, building and grounds maintenance, and facility expansion or improvement projects. The Associate Director, Space Planning & Strategy requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
The Associate Director of Care Delivery Operations (CDO) is responsible for the development of the real estate strategy and the management of the services Workplace Solutions provides to support the CDO’s expansion and ongoing operations.The CDO and more specifically Partners in Primary Care is a family of senior- focused primary care centers that delivers care to members of Medicare Advantage health plans with a commitment to provide personalized high quality primary care combined with excellent patient experience.The Associate Director must be passionate about and have a strong understanding of the Care Delivery Organization’s mission and success factors, as well as the ability to lead the team to deliver accordingly.This role will support all of COD’s real estate activities by providing the necessary problem solving skills to identify, execute, and govern change in the organization to improve the member experience.
This new role will report to the Workplace Solutions Director of Clinical Portfolio Management with a dotted line reporting structure to the President of the Care Delivery Organization.
Liaise and collaborate with the Care Delivery Organization, other partnering businesses (Retail, Pharmacy, Group, etc.) and all aligned functional stakeholders to develop and deliver the real estate strategy
Actively participate as part of the Care Delivery Organization leader team to support the success of the business
Lead and manage a cross-functional real estate program management team (project, transaction, design and facilities)
Develop and execute on vendor management strategies by closely working with procurement, finance, and vendor partners to ensure CDO receives and maintains the highest service quality.
Understand and drive key metrics to achieve desired results supporting the success of the business
Serve as the primary representative for all services/functions provided by Workplace Solutions
Partner with other supporting Humana teams (finance, information technology, safety & security, food service, etc.) to support the mission
Develop and manage communication and reporting protocols
Develop and manage the capital and operating budget
Serve as an inspirational thought leader to challenge/influence all levels across the organization to rethink routine and pioneer simplicity
Resolve problems in a highly complex and changing environment
Manage, grow talent, mentor associates and help them grow by setting clear goals, actions plans, training and timely guidance
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
10+ years business experience in real estate management or consulting
Transformational leadership style
Ability to lead and manage in a complex and changing environment
Results oriented with a strong track record in planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level
Knowledge of service contracts and procurement practices
Excellent communication, presentation and consulting experience with senior level business partners
Ability to build strong partnerships with a proven track record of collaboration across business and functional stakeholders
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Ability to travel up to 40%
PMP (project management professional) Project Management Institute certification
MCR (masters in corporate real estate), Corenet Global certification
