PURPOSE

Want to change the face of tennis? This is your opportunity to steer the creative direction of the ATP as we step into a new frontier for the sport. Tennis is at a tipping point with a wealth of talent looking to dethrone the sport’s leading icons, presenting a rare opportunity to shape the sport for generations to follow. 


This is not your typical Creative Director role. You will be leading a lean, but talented creative team that will require being hands on at every stage from concept to execution. You may have worked in an advertising agency (in-house included) or an entertainment company. A background in tennis, or even sports is not required. You embrace change and all of the messiness that comes with it. You listen to and look for others’ voices and opinions, especially those that are different to your own. You understand that diversity fuels creativity.


 Reporting to the Senior Vice President Marketing & Business Development, the Creative Director will be responsible for concepting, designing and delivering impactful and effective multi-platform creative communications to sit across all brand and member (Player & Tournament) channels.

This is an office-based position. The successful candidate can be located in either our London or Ponte Vedra Beach office.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Create and deliver multi-platform, multi-channel campaigns that meet the global business objectives

Continue to evolve and champion the creative vision; setting the expectation at the highest level to ensure creative direction is retained and in line with our brand values

Drive conceptual thinking and execution, ensuring consistency and brand elevation across all channels

Work closely with and manage external agencies through all stages from briefing to asset delivery

Create all brand guidelines and templates to ensure brand consistency across all touch points

Work closely with the brand team to evolve the ATP brand and ensure that all creative is fully aligned to the brand identity

Work closely with our brand and digital marketing teams to ensure we are following our creative vision whilst still delivering results

Work with Players and Tournaments to generate campaign materials that help fulfill their individual objectives

Commission creative talent for various projects and manage external contacts including photographers, illustrators, animators, stylists, printers

Responsible for post-production schedules, making selects, retouch notes and templates for creative execution across all channels

Coach and develop junior designers and creatives

Develop strong internal processes and procedures

Work with the SVP Marketing and Business Development to create an industry leading creative studio team 


KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Tennis knowledge is desirable, but not essential 

Extensive experience in graphic design and content development

Strong technical ability, skilled as a senior creative with significant experience in graphic design and digital design for a premium brand or from a creative agency background

Ability to deliver creative ideas with conviction to a range of stakeholders and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously and remain calm under pressure

Exceptional experience in brand building and driving brand elevation

Knowledge and experience of working with both creative and marketing teams

Strong organizational and teamwork skills, ability to multi-task effectively

Excellent presentation skills

Expert knowledge of print, digital, social and video content

Expert knowledge of content platform current best practices, technologies and creative standards

Experience leading photo and video production

Demonstrable experience of effectively coaching and developing team members
