Performs credit analysis, due diligence, reviews documentation, and monitors/manages ongoing performance/risk of accounts within his/her assigned portfolio of clients under supervision of their manager.
Independently applies strong credit knowledge, policy expertise, and analytical abilities to underwriting client requests and annual reviews.
An important deal team member managing transactions to completion with little or no guidance from immediate manager.
Uses expert credit judgment to recommend and approve extensions of credit.
Has developed knowledge of the specifics of the business unit and/or products being supported.
Minimum Skills Required:
Strong understanding of primary credit products (revolving lines of credit, term loans, commercial cards, etc.) and operating exposures (ACH, intra-day limits, etc.). Thrives in a fast paced environment specializing in clients with $20MM-100MM in revenue.
Possesses strong accounting and finance knowledge, and has extensive commercial banking experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to build and maintain excellent partnerships and relationships throughout the CB, including bankers, TS, derivatives, implementations, ACH and funds control, internal counsel, service, support groups, etc.
Requires impeccable organization skills, attention to detail, and highly efficient work methods.
The ability to voice an opinion in a clear, concise manner and to defend that position with various stakeholders.
Flexibility and the ability to identify larger opportunities and to effect warm hand-offs as appropriate to other team members.
Existing knowledge of Chase infrastructure on products and services a plus.
6+ years professional banking experience
BA/BBA/MBA and completion of a formal major corporate/commercial bank credit analyst training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience)
Minimum of 2-5 years commercial underwriting /banking/lending experience which might include credit, structuring and marketing
